When a customer is told about a specific price, special or offer over the phone, they expect to collect on what was told to them. If they do not they could make a straight line for the door or suck it up and decide to store anyway. Just know that they will tell someone about their experience which could cause some issues in the future. If you lie to one customer one time and get away with it, you could think that you could lie to another customer. That is not the way you want to handle business.

Lying gets you somewhere sometimes. Trying to make a consistent thing is not good. Customers will not appreciate being lied to and treated like that. I know many of us have been told at some point that we need to clean our ears. We are told this for many reasons. One reason is because we do not listen to our elders and we should. Now of course no matter how much earwax we have in our ears, we can still hear our parents. We just choose not to at some points. There are different techniques that you can do in order to perfect listening. You can keep your mind clear of anything that you are thinking and focus just on what they are saying. Managers will always offer the first floor or drive up unit in order to get more money out of their storage units. They know what they want but I am trying to also determine that fact. Many times it would just be great to hang up the phone and hope that they get someone that has less patience than me. I thought I had patience but apparently I don’t when it comes to people who I cannot help.

Calling ahead is not a bad idea. Now calling ahead more than two months in advance is crazy. There is no way to say what will be available.
