If you are a manager of a region or territory and you have not been inside one of your stores, you should be ashamed of yourself. Some managers just think they can have a secret shopping team inform the manager on what is going on at their facilities. That is not good enough. You need a first hand account on what is happening in your store.
    For the most part your team at your locations should know your voice and see your face. So the idea of secret shopping them might seem crazy to you. This is not a suggestion to secret shop your facilities daily to the point where as soon as you walk or call they stiffen up and try to do what their duties are. This is a simple suggestion to call ever so often to hear what your team sounds like on the phone and also make unannounced visits to your facility. This way you can see how they interact with customers as you pretend to be one. This is a great way to really know how good they are doing for you without having to really on someone else to do the job for you.
