Having your house destroyed in the middle of the night is not something that anyone should have to experience. Lilly and Mark were asleep in their bed and they had heard it storming, but it didn’t sound like it was going to be that bad. Lilly just snuggled a little closer to mark and was almost back asleep when it seemed as though their house had exploded around them. In reality lightning had struck the tree that was in their front yard and it split, sending the tree straight onto their roof and down into the living room and kitchen. Lilly had never been so scarred in her life, and she had never seen Mark move as fast as he did that night.

They ran into the living room to see the rain and the storm clouds outside. It seemed as though they stood for an hour just staring at the hole in their roof and watching the rain pour in. at the same time they both ran to the garage to see if they could find some tarps to try to cover up the whole. There was not much that they could do in the middle of the night with rain coming down. The two tarps that they found covered a lot of the damage but it did not do much to keep out the rain.

Their insurance agent was there as soon as they called even bringing over some coffee that she had stopped to get on the way there. The agent immediately began processing their claim and working on getting them money to get repairs.

In the morning while Mark was talking to the agent and getting quotes from contractors Lilly was on the phone with Quebec storage companies. They were going to need some place to keep everything from their living room and some things from their kitchen in until the house was repaired. There were several Quebec storage locations in the area. Lilly was able to find a Quebec storage unit that was reasonably priced and had good security.

They were able to move in everything that was not ruined by the storm and the roof caving in into the Quebec storage, and the contractors began to repair their home. It was one of the most stressful times for Lilly and Mark but they were able to make it through and in the end their house was able to be fixed. They were both just glad that no one was hurt. Things can usually always be replaced.
